Maddie's Saving Nevada’s Pets Conference in Reno will offer networking and educational opportunities for animal welfare leaders and managers in Northern Nevada. This conference is free to management and leadership of Nevada's animal shelters, animal service agencies, rescue groups, nonprofit spay/neuter clinics, community cat/TNR groups, and other animal welfare groups.
Here are the two different options for the Friday, October 18th workshops:
Global Cat Day – Becky Robinson, President and Founder of Alley Cat Allies
For nearly three decades, Becky Robinson has been at the forefront of saving cats, pioneering Trap-Neuter- Return (TNR) across the county and dispelling myths and misinformation about cats. Becky will provide simple steps you can take to improve the lives of cats in your community and help you become a more effective voice for cats. If you care about cats and want to make your programs for community cats more effective, this session is for you.
or
Fear Free for Clinics and Shelters – Cindi Delaney, DVM and Kelley Bollen, MS, CABC
This session will help you make your shelter, clinic, or rescue create a Fear Free experience for pets from admission to adoption and beyond. The presenters, Dr. Cindi Delaney and Animal Behaviorist Kelley Bollen will give you the information and techniques you will need to promote the emotional wellbeing of the pets in your care and ease the transition to a new environment.
